Role Overview

The Law Clerk position is a paid opportunity for a second-year law student to serve in-house litigation at The Cincinnati Insurance Companies. The role is based in Columbus, Ohio, and requires the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal memoranda, and assisting with preparation for depositions and trials.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Law Clerk include conducting legal research, drafting legal memoranda, assisting with preparation for depositions and trials, reviewing and completing indexing of medical records, and attending depositions and trials.

Requirements

  • enrolled in your 2nd year at an accredited law school
  • ability to work at least 15 hours per week (school year) and up to 40 hours per week (summer)
  • in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)
  • ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
