Job Description
The Layup Supervisor is responsible for overseeing layup activities to meet planned production requirements and on-time shipments in a new plywood manufacturing plant. The position involves coordinating daily run schedules, monitoring production, and ensuring quality specifications are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years of supervisory experience in plywood manufacturing
  • Visually identify defects and grades associated with dry veneer, blanks, and panels
  • Computer skills – experience with Excel, Word, and presentation software (PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal with all levels of the company from hourly, supervisors, vendors, and management
  • Analytical skills – experience utilizing Quality Systems, statistical sampling, and utilizing data to see trends
  • Training skills – Ability to train, educate foreman, supervisors, leads, and employees
