Role Overview

The Lead Administrative Nurse Supervisor is a member of Nursing Administration who is responsible for the 24/7 staffing, mentoring, evaluation of and supervision of Nursing Supervisor Administrative Coordinators. The role works collaboratively with the Nursing Administration leadership to ensure educational requirements, regulatory requirements, quality improvement initiatives and hospital operational needs are met for all staff within Patient Care Services.

What You Will Do

Supervise and direct the work of Nursing Supervisors and nursing, social work and counseling staff on off-shifts. Plan and manage staffing schedules, ensure adequate coverage and appropriate skill mix across the hospital. Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews and staff competencies.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice professional nursing in New York State
  • Baccalaureate in Nursing or Health Related Field
  • BLS/ACLS Certifications
  • Progressive healthcare leadership experience in an acute care facility for a minimum of two years
  • Nursing experience in medical/surgical/telemetry and ICU/Critical Care or Emergency Nursing
