Role OverviewThe Lead Anesthesia Technician is responsible for performing, organizing and overseeing the daily work activities of the anesthesia technicians, assuring that the daily tasks are completed thoroughly and accurately. They will also act as a resource to staff, managers and physicians related to anesthesia support services, assign and coordinate daily activities, and monitor job performance.
What You Will Do
The Lead Anesthesia Technician will perform duties such as orienting and mentoring staff, problem-solving instrument issues, providing feedback for employee evaluations, and assisting in the Quality Improvement Process.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
- Certified Anesthesia Technician Certification (CER.A.T.) from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
- RQI Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support
- Ability to learn and evaluate new equipment and procedures quickly
- Ability to perform work-lead responsibilities such as training and orienting new employees
- Ability to respond with flexibility to unusual and emergent situations
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the job
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and prioritize duties during time of stress
- Knowledge of location, operation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies
