Job Description
The Maryland Department of Labor is seeking a Lead Board Inspector to investigate compliance, research, mediate, and resolve complaints filed with the Board of Barbers and the Board of Cosmetologists. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting investigations and knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards specific to salons and barbershops.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
  • One year of experience conducting investigations of alleged non-compliance with state laws and regulations, which govern the licensing and practices of business occupations and professions
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards specific to salons, barbershops, and other licensed establishments
