Job Description
The Lead Corporate Accountant will lead the department in evaluating journal entries and coordinating daily activities. They will ensure timely financial reporting, develop and maintain ERP systems, and provide guidance to the Corporate Accounting staff and Operations. The role requires extensive knowledge of accounting standards, financial statements, and regulatory accounting and ratemaking concepts.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge/understanding of accounting standards (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements (i.e. balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, consolidations)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and related software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of the organization
  • Analytical and organizational skills to manage various projects and programs
  • Ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
