Responsibilities include serving as lead person in financial matters, obtaining payment on patient accounts, and working with patients, family members, insurance companies, and outside financial assistance agencies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma OR GED with two (2) years of experience in collections
  • Associate's Degree in Business or related field and one (1) year of experience in collections
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 30 wpm or better
  • Prior experience in healthcare environment
  • S. degree in Business or Health Administration
  • Three (3) or more year’s collection experience
  • CPAR Certified
  • CFC Certified
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Ability to train and direct the work of others
