Job Description
KBR is seeking a highly motivated self-starter as a Lead Flight Engineer to support the airborne system testing and reporting for the Navy’s Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office (AST PO) program in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will provide qualified Flight Test Engineering support as well as P-8A Project Specialist (PS) aircrew support during airborne test and evaluation AST systems.

Requirements

  • Provide expert assistance to the AST throughout the Operational Testing (OT) process.
  • Serve as a value-added participant in all OT planning and progress meetings, providing the Government with recommendations for improvement to the processes.
  • Prepare independent assessments and analysis of OT progress for each major testing event, highlighting the deficiencies and the operational impacts discovered during OT.
  • Provide mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Assist with management of acceptance testing efforts.
  • Provide timely and accurate test-program status updates.
  • Participate in Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (System Readiness Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, etc.).
  • Review of the technical aspects of proposals that pertain to T&E missions.
  • Manage and verify the Prime's performance to the contract's specifications and requirements, and determining success in meeting system level T&E deliverables.
  • Produce and/or review DoD acquisition T&E products such as the Cost and Requirements Document, Capabilities Production Document, Capabilities Development Document, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, etc.
