Job Description
The Lead Groundskeeper will be responsible for supervising grounds keepers, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the Long Beach Amphitheater. This is a part-time position with a salary of $27.20 per hour, increasing to $29.70 per hour effective October 1, 2026.

Requirements

  • Supervise and assign duties to grounds keeper staff
  • Perform grounds and cleaning and landscape maintenance
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are cleaned and returned to their proper place
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve grounds keeping operations
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and with other building departments
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time on hard-surface floor
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and understand verbal and written instructions
