Role Overview

As a Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer 2, you will work on major process controls engineering projects in the areas of design, operational excellence, safety, maintenance, and project management. You will direct technical decision making in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing power plant controls systems.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include developing and marketing high-level, complex programs for nuclear power projects, coordinating systems design activities, performing digital systems design development, and preparing documentation for design input.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This position requires 12 or more years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls engineering systems, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new plants or replacements for existing plants. You will be expected to lead others in taking engineering problems from issue to solution by setting expectations for using data and modern tools such as automation and AI.

Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 12 or more years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls engineering systems
  • Technical knowledge of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems
  • Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others
  • PE license (valued but not required)
  • Experience in providing technical support to nuclear plant projects (valued but not required)
