Role OverviewThe Lead, IT Applications is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of Self-Checkout (SCO) solutions within store systems. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient checkout experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
Lead architecture and design of Self Checkout (SCO) solutions, ensure integration with POS, payment systems, and store infrastructure. Drive full development lifecycle including design validation, build, testing, and deployment.

Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in retail systems or IT consulting with strong exposure to POS and Self Checkout solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of POS systems, Self Checkout workflows, and payment processing (EMV, PIN pads, contactless)
- Experience supporting large-scale store technology rollouts across multiple locations
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage complex system integrations across multiple platforms
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience working with third-party vendors in retail hardware/software ecosystems
- Strong project leadership and execution skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Benefits
- Base salary range: $114,300 – $195,000
