Job Description
The Lead MRI Technologist is responsible for supervising MRI staff, coordinating work assignments, and ensuring accurate record keeping. They also perform imaging procedures, evaluate patient care plans, and select appropriate shielding devices and immobilization devices. The Lead MRI Technologist must have a graduate degree from an American College of Radiology or Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology approved educational program and be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).

Requirements

  • Graduate degree from an American College of Radiology or Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology approved educational program
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
  • Minimum of one-year experience as an MRI technologist
  • Preferred supervisory or lead experience
