Role OverviewThe Lead Steward will oversee the kitchen stewarding operations and staff on assigned shift, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in all food production service areas. The role involves directing stewarding functions, training staff on safety and sanitation issues, and communicating with management to maintain par stocks of materials and equipment.
What You Will Do
The Lead Steward will be responsible for setting up workstations, cleaning and storage of dishes, filling dish machines, ensuring correct chemical levels, organization of cooler and freezers, and transporting food product and equipment between kitchen areas. They will also train stewards on current safety and sanitation issues and inform management of hazardous situations.
