Role OverviewSeeking a Lead Structured Cabling Installer for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Melbourne, FL. This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical expertise, crew supervision experience, client interaction skills, and the ability to assist with project estimating and quoting.
What You Will Do
Install, terminate, test, and certify Cat6, Cat6A, Cat8, and fiber optic cabling systems. Lead structured cabling crews, ensuring work complies with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC standards.

Requirements
- BICSI Installer 2 – Copper (required)
- BICSI Installer 2 – Fiber Optic (required)
- Actively pursuing or willing to pursue BICSI RCDD certification
- 7+ years of structured cabling experience, including 5+ years in a lead or supervisory role
- Expert knowledge of copper and fiber installation, termination, testing, and certification
- Experience with Fluke DSX, OptiFiber Pro, or similar testing equipment
- Strong understanding of TIA-568, TIA-569, TIA-606, and NEC standards
- Experience leading crews of 3–10 technicians
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to review project scopes, construction documents, and RFPs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks for government site access
