Role Overview

As a Lead Teacher, you will work alongside Teacher Assistants to create a safe, healthy, structured, and nurturing environment for children. You will engage with children in learning, inspire them to be lifelong learners, and partner with families to nurture and care for their children.

What You Will Do

Your typical day will include working with children in learning, reading, playing, and having fun. You will also oversee, develop, implement, and coordinate curriculum and assessments.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience working with children in this age group
  • College credits, Associate's degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Minimum of High school diploma (or equivalent) with college credits in Early Childhood Education or related field required
  • At least 1 year working with children in this age group
  • At least 1 year working in an early learning/child care setting preferred
  • Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS) certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Teaching Strategies and/or Conscious Discipline preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
