Role Overview

The Lead Teacher II is responsible for coordinating daily activities in an early learning program and providing a safe and nurturing environment for early childhood-aged children. This is a year-round position that will transition to camp responsibilities during the summer.

What You Will Do

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans, engage students, monitor safety, and maintain participant records. Serve as a role model to staff and participants, develop positive relationships with staff, families, and children, and provide motivational support and guidance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have 240 hours of experience in an approved education setting
  • Must have completed high school or equivalent
  • Must meet all Child Care Licensing requirements
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
  • Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children
  • Must be able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe
