Role Overview

As a Lead Teacher, you'll take a leadership role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and thrive. You'll plan meaningful learning experiences, monitor each child's development, build strong partnerships with families, and help ensure the classroom meets Head Start, childcare licensing, and program requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field in education or family/consumer science
  • At least one year of experience responsible for the education and care of children from birth through age five
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and ability to meet agency insurability requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with children, families, coworkers, and community partners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively in a changing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to use online databases and technology
  • Ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day, including standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities
