Job Description
The Lead Fleet Technician is responsible for setting the tone for safety, quality, and uptime in a school bus fleet. They will handle advanced diagnostics and repairs, oversee inspection readiness, and guide technicians through preventive maintenance cycles.

Requirements

  • Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems
  • Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds, and test drives
  • Complete required safety inspections and repair sign-offs
  • Keep a safe, organized, and compliant workspace
  • Identify and report additional service needs or complex issues
  • Accurately log labor hours, parts used, and completed work
  • Notify leadership of unsafe conditions, equipment misuse, or vehicle abuse
  • Respond to road calls and perform mobile repairs
  • Model professionalism, teamwork, and integrity
