Job Description
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is seeking a Leading and Learning Education Program Specialist to support the development, coordination, and implementation of the state-wide integrated multi-tiered system of supports (Ohio’s Integrated MTSS) framework. The successful candidate will serve as an unclassified employee and perform educational and/or research responsibilities, including providing guidance, coordination, and support to stakeholders for the implementation of an integrated multi-tiered system of supports.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience working in an educational setting (i.e., k-12, higher education) in one of the following capacities: teacher, building or district administrator
  • Demonstrated experience implementing an integrated multi-tiered system of supports (universal screening, continuum of supports, data-based decision-making, progress monitoring, team-based problem solving)
  • Demonstrated experience developing content related to the components of an integrated multi-tiered system of supports (universal screening, continuum of supports, data-based decision-making, progress monitoring, team-based problem solving)
  • Superb communication skills at all levels of an organization and with customers/partners via multiple media
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking and team-building skills
