Role OverviewThe Learn to Skate Instructor will lead the facility's youth (and some adult) ice skating offerings, including classes, clinics, camps, and private trainings. The role involves designing and implementing training programs, providing instruction and feedback, and fostering a positive and competitive environment for athletes.
What You Will Do
Teaching relevant skills, tactics, and techniques to a wide range of athletes, individuals and groups, developing and implementing training programs, conducting on-ice and off-ice training sessions, and providing suitable feedback.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of coaching/teaching experience, a strong background in figure skating, and excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of coaching/teaching experience
- Proven experience as a coach or in a related role
- Coaching licenses (or active pursuit of) preferred
- Familiarity with ISI and USFSA skating programs
- Current CPR/FIRST AID certifications
