Role OverviewA Legal Assistant IV will be based in each Bureau within the Criminal and Capital Appeals Division and will directly support the Chief Assistant Attorney General in the Bureau. The position will work closely with the Bureau Chief to support the mission of the Division and assist with the case management and administrative duties involved with managing the Bureau.
What You Will Do
Draft, edit, prepare and electronically file legal documents with the courts under Bureau Chief’s supervision. Prepare routine correspondence using preapproved document templates. Calendar deadlines in accordance with applicable rules of procedure. Maintain and file records and reports on case activity and prepare necessary statistical reports.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Four (4) years of secretarial/clerical experience; AND A high school diploma or equivalency. Two year degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies or related field may substitute for two (2) years of required experience.

- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position within the Office of the Attorney General, similar large legal organization, large corporate entity, or legal department of state or federal government agency
