Job Description
Aristeo Construction seeks an experienced Legal Counsel to join our Risk Management team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in construction law and have a hands-on approach to leading the effort on all legal matters related to our projects.

Requirements

  • Analyze and draft construction contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other legal documents to mitigate risks and protect Aristeo’s interests.
  • Represent Aristeo in construction disputes, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation, to resolve contractual disagreements and claims.
  • Offer clear direction on construction regulations, permitting requirements, safety standards, and environmental laws to ensure project compliance.
  • Advise management and project teams on the resolution of claims; manage outside counsel when litigation or arbitration is needed.
  • Oversee construction claims, review claim documents, negotiate settlements, and prepare for potential litigation.
  • Conduct legal research on construction law issues to stay updated on relevant case law and statutes.
  • Oversee Aristeo’s multi-state licenses and registration status. Work closely with registered agents and license holders to maintain good standing.
