Role Overview

As Legal Counsel (Specialist) – Potash Marketing, you will play a critical role in supporting BHP’s entry into the global potash market. You will work closely with the Potash Sales & Marketing team to enable the sale and distribution of potash across the Americas, while navigating complex regulatory frameworks and commercial landscapes. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new business during a pivotal moment—supporting the ramp-up of first production in a new commodity for BHP and the development of sales channels and supply chains required to deliver potash to our customers.

What You Will Do

Provide legal advice to the Potash Sales & Marketing team on commercial and operational matters. Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including commodity sale and purchase agreements, logistics and supply chain contracts, memoranda of understanding, and other commercial arrangements. Conduct legal and regulatory due diligence for international trade, including export/import and fertilizer regulations. Advise on disputes related to potash sales and logistics.
