Job Description
The New York City Police Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Legal Secretarial Assistant III to perform various duties including proofreading, editing, and transcribing documents, as well as providing clerical support and coordinating meetings for high-level officials.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 12 semester credits in secretarial science, word processing, office automation and/or office technology
  • 1 year of satisfactory full-time professional general secretarial experience or 6 months of satisfactory full-time professional legal secretarial experience
  • Ability to type at a minimum rate of 55 words per minute
  • Ability to take legal dictation
