Role OverviewThe Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking a motivated and hard-working individual for a Legal Secretary position in our Criminal Justice Section. The successful candidate will provide secretarial support while working in a collaborative team environment. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule.
What You Will Do
Performs confidential work for section attorneys, producing accurate, typed, finished copy of legal documents, confidential materials & correspondence from rough written or electronic instructions requiring knowledge of legal terminology. Composes or independently answers correspondence to clients, staff or general public.

The successful candidate will have 6 months' work experience performing legal secretary duties in a law firm or legal setting, or completion of an Associate's degree in secretarial/administrative professional science or closely related field.
Requirements
- 6 months' work experience performing legal secretary duties in a law firm or legal setting
- completion of Associate's degree in secretarial/administrative professional science or closely related field
- completion of Associate core coursework to qualify for a secretary/administrative assistant diploma/certificate or closely related field
- completion of Bachelor's degree or higher in any related field
