Role Overview

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking a motivated and hard-working individual for a Legal Secretary position in our Executive Agencies Section. The successful candidate will perform a variety of clerical, administrative, and legal support tasks for attorneys and other office staff.

What You Will Do

Performing highly confidential legal secretarial work, physically and electronically filing documents, performing litigation support, producing typed copy of legal documents, proofreading and correcting materials, composing or answering correspondence, scheduling meetings, scanning and processing mail, and answering incoming calls.

Requirements

  • 6 months' work experience performing legal secretary duties in a law firm or legal setting
  • 1 course or 1 month's experience in public relations
  • Associate's degree in secretarial/administrative professional science or closely related field from an accredited career school or community college
  • 1 course or 1 month's experience in public relations
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in any related field
  • 1 course or 1 month's experience in public relations
