Role OverviewThe Legal Secretary will provide information-management support to the Assistant District Attorney's office, preparing quality legal documents, maintaining case and file materials, and assisting in court as needed.
What You Will Do
The employee will greet law enforcement, attorneys, and public, produce information, receive and document funds, maintain attorney calendars, and represent attorneys by communicating and obtaining information.

Requirements
- Greet law enforcement, attorneys, and public in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
- Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
- Receive, document, account, and prepare for disbursement funds associated with criminal matters.
- Maintain attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, pre-trial matters, recording and monitoring court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements.
- Represent attorney by communicating and obtaining information; following-up on delegated assignments; knowing when to act and when to refer matters to attorney.
- Document and input information into prosecutorial software system and other databases as required by office policy.
- Provide historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions; maintaining transcripts; documenting and maintaining evidence.
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs.
- Provide back up for other positions based on cross training.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
