Role OverviewWe are a mid-sized construction litigation law firm seeking a Legal Writer to work in our motions/writing department. The successful candidate will work hybrid remote and focus exclusively on the craft of legal writing without the demands of courtroom appearances and client reporting. The role involves drafting substantive motions for summary judgment and appeals, analyzing complex legal issues, and crafting persuasive argumentation.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will draft motions for summary judgment and appeals, analyze complex legal issues, and craft persuasive argumentation. They may also handle some of the oral argument of motions and appeals that they write.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have recent experience as a writer handling motions for summary judgment and/or appeals, and will have knowledge of insurance defense, general liability, construction accident cases, insurance coverage, and appellate law.
