Role OverviewThe group exercise instructor must be high energy, motivating and a relationship builder who will help people reach their goals through exercise while having fun. Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
What You Will Do
Leads group classes, creates a welcoming class environment, answers questions from members, maintains accurate class attendance records, and participates in training sessions and special events.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires certifications, instructor experience, strong communication and social media skills, and knowledge of the YMCA mission and philosophy.
Requirements
- Appropriate certifications for classes taught
- Other certifications as required by the Y
- CPR/FA/AED/02 (ASHI) required within 30 days of hire
- Instructor experience preferred
