Job Description
The Youth Services Librarian is responsible for all aspects of programming and services for the youth demographic (birth to 18 years of age) in the public library setting.

Requirements

  • Develop and conduct programs for children from birth through 18 years of age
  • Exercise basic program production skills
  • Provide reference and individual reader's advisory guidance
  • Collaborate with the Technical Service department
  • Compile, prepare, and maintain reports, records, and statistics
  • Operate a personal or city vehicle to travel
  • Supervise, train, and direct technicians and clerical staff
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and implement modifications
