Role OverviewThe Library Assistant will provide excellent service and connect community members with library services and materials. They will work under the direct supervision of the City Branch Assistant Manager and be committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The role involves providing hands-on customer service, assisting patrons with library accounts, and performing circulation duties.
What You Will Do
The Library Assistant will provide hands-on customer service, assist patrons with library accounts, perform circulation duties, connect patrons digitally, and troubleshoot computers and equipment. They will also help patrons with in-depth projects, provide readers' advisory and reference services, and participate in merchandising and maintaining branch appearance.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Cash register experience preferred
- At least 2 years of work experience in a public library and/or retail
- Spanish language skills preferred

- Demonstration of character and integrity in all situations
- Practical experience and proficiency with computers
