Role Overview

The Library Operations Assistant provides administrative, operational, and public service support for Lightner Library. Working closely with the Library Director and library staff, the position assists with circulation services, resource sharing, acquisitions processing, archives projects, and day-to-day library operations.

What You Will Do

Provides courteous and responsive service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at library service points. Checks library materials in and out and assists patrons with routine circulation transactions. Assists with shelving, shelf reading, collection shifting, and stack maintenance.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience in an administrative, customer service, library, educational, or office environment. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is required.

Requirements
