Role OverviewThe LPN II provides direct service and daily nursing care in a medically intensive program for individuals with brain injury, developmental delay, or intellectual disability. The role assumes overall responsibility of the program for the designated shift as lead staff/nurse.
What You Will Do
Implements person-centered treatment care plans, assists with activities of daily living, completes skilled nursing care needs, and monitors clients for any change in status.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Experience working with individuals with developmental, intellectual disabilities, or brain injury is preferred. Strong commitment to the rights and abilities of individuals with complex health issues is required.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse credentials in Massachusetts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of supervised practical experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting
- Experience working with people with developmental and/or psychiatric disabilities and medical illnesses
- Bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience are preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license for at least 6 months and maintain access to a reliable, insured vehicle
