Job Description
The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician I/II provides medical treatment, crisis intervention, medication support, and rehabilitation services to individuals with mental illness in an inpatient/outpatient setting. The position requires a licensed vocational nurse or psychiatric technician with experience in a mental health setting and a strong understanding of psychiatric nursing procedures and best practices.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician program
  • At least one year of full-time paid human services experience
  • Current registration with the State of California as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician or Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Current First Aid Certification or successful completion of First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Certification in writing 5150 holds or obtain certification within six months of hire
