Role OverviewWe are seeking a Licensing Engineer Energy – Remote. This remote position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office. Responsible for applying engineering and nuclear regulatory knowledge and experience in support of developing power plant systems and programs in accordance with US licensing requirements.
What You Will Do
Prepares licensing documentation, such as topical and technical reports, Safety Analysis Reports, and applications for certifications, permits, and licenses. Prepares and defends position papers for areas where the existing regulatory framework does not apply, or where there is a need for new or revised regulatory requirements or guidance.

Applies knowledge and experience, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes and standards, and good engineering judgment to ensure the design is compliant with International regulatory criteria and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical or engineering field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in nuclear licensing and regulatory affairs
- Experience in nuclear industry preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with industry standards and licensing guides
- Excellent technical writing, interpersonal and effective communication skills
- Experience in drafting and reviewing licensing applications and submittals
- Experience working with designers and engineers to develop a safety analysis report (SAR)
- Prior nuclear industry experience including interactions with NRC or other regulatory authorities
- Must be a U.S. citizen
