Role Overview

The Maryland Department of Labor is seeking a Licensing Specialist to perform administrative duties in fulfilling the operating objectives of the Office of Cemetery Oversight. The successful candidate will act as secretary to the Director and coordinate the application/reapplication process for applicants for licensure. The role involves maintaining various files, typing and copying correspondence, verifying and approving license information, and processing applications.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of this position include coordinating the application/reapplication process, maintaining files, typing and copying correspondence, verifying and approving license information, processing applications, and handling telephone calls, emails, faxes, and walk-in contacts.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have two years of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work, and possess knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suites, as well as experience with licensing and the AS400 system.
