Job Description
The Lieutenant, University Police position is responsible for supervising sergeants and other staff in the protection of life and property within areas under the jurisdiction of The University of Texas System. The role requires independent judgment, ethical standards, and adherence to ODOP and institutional values.

Requirements

  • At least 90 college hours
  • 5 years of full-time, continuous law enforcement service
  • 2 years as a sergeant or higher rank
  • 10 years of full-time, continuous law enforcement service
  • 5 years as a sergeant or higher rank
  • Active TCOLE Peace Officer License
  • Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Intermediate Certificate or equivalent training and certification requirements
  • Valid Texas driver's license
