Role OverviewThe Respiratory Care Assistant is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility. This Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post verification of education and completed competency.
What You Will Do
Medicated aerosol delivery, Airway clearance therapy, Patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, and ECG), Oxygen and humidity therapy, Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups)
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory care program
- Experience in basic respiratory therapy procedures (Preferred)
- Holder of current Ohio Limited Practice Permit
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
