Role OverviewJoin the team of the Napa Valley Wine Train, a historically luxury and iconic experience in Napa's Wine Country. As a Line Cook, you'll be part of this iconic history, working in a fast-paced environment and on a moving train. You'll prepare and cook for guests on various train experiences, including legacy, lunch, and dinner trains, as well as seasonal experiences and private events.
What You Will Do
As a Line Cook II, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking for guests, executing assigned tasks with accuracy and speed, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You'll work in a small space, fast-paced environment, and on a moving train, and be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of cooking experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Entry-level experience as Pastry Chef de Partie
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry's best practices
- Culinary school diploma a plus
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in small space, fast-paced environment, and on a moving train
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be available for day or evening, holidays, and weekend shifts
- Serve Safe (or ability to obtain certification)
- Speak and Read English - Minimum
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
