Line Cook

As a Line Cook at Firestone Walker, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food products, maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation area, and working as part of a team to ensure a smooth service period. You will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, cooking a variety of menu items and maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a commitment to teamwork and quality.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing and portioning food products, cooking meats, poultry, fish, and vegetables, and plating and garnishing cooked items. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation area, stocking and maintaining food products, and performing other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or manager-on-duty.

Requirements

• High School diploma or higher
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain Food Handlers Card within new hire training period
• Must be available to work weekends
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel at all times
• Ability to be a strong team player and get along well with co-workers
• Be physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle, feel or cut with a knife and lift up to 40 pounds regularly
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
