Role Overview

The Line Foreman will ensure service reliability for Midwest Energy, Inc. customers by constructing and maintaining the electric system. They will coordinate and lead personnel in planning and coordination of construction, maintenance, and operations of electric facilities. The Line Foreman will promote safe working habits and enforce all safety rules and regulations.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Line Foreman will include constructing and operating an electrical distribution system, organizing and planning the efforts of the crew, and supervising and leading subordinates to obtain the highest degree of productivity.

The ideal candidate will have leadership, supervisory, and human relations experience, as well as the ability to motivate, train, and evaluate subordinates. They will possess good writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and a valid Kansas Drivers License (CDL Class A) is required.

Requirements

  • High school graduate plus advanced trade knowledge equivalent to four years of apprenticeship
  • Journeyman Lineman experience
  • Leadership, supervisory, and human relations experience
  • Knowledge of all operational aspects of electrical transmission and distribution systems
  • Familiarity with Company Safety Manual, Construction Specifications, Approved List of Materials, National Electric Safety Code, OSHA Rules and Regulations, and the National Electric Code
  • Ability to construct and operate an electrical distribution system
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Good writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Valid Kansas Drivers License (CDL Class A)
