Job Description

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Linux Systems Administrator to join their team located in the Fort Meade, MD area. The role involves providing comprehensive administration and support for multi-platform operating system environments, designing and implementing automated security hardening solutions, and analyzing system and security logs to identify and respond to real-time events.

Requirements

Provide comprehensive administration and support for multi-platform operating system environments
Design and implement automated security hardening solutions to enhance scalability and streamline operating system deployments
Configure and maintain host-based security and intrusion detection systems
Monitor system performance and investigate detected anomalies to ensure operational integrity
Develop and deploy automation scripts to manage server integration and reduce manual configuration errors
Analyze system and security logs to identify and respond to real-time events and provide status updates to leadership
Engineer automation workflows for identity and access management to replace manual account provisioning processes
Conduct regular audits to verify security compliance and identify potential vulnerabilities or configuration gaps
Participate in design and review meetings to provide technical insights, project goals, and status updates for management
