Role OverviewThe Linux Systems Engineer will function as part of a team of engineers responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and securing Linux-based systems to ensure reliability, performance, and security across in our secure environments.
What You Will Do
Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and servers, monitor system performance, reliability, and security, troubleshoot system, application, hardware, and network-related issues on Linux platforms, and perform regular updates, patching, and system hardening to maintain security posture.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have a strong understanding of Linux operating systems, distributions, file systems, kernel concepts, and system architecture, and proficiency in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and at least 7 years of related experience.
- Must have a current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
