Role OverviewThis is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week onsite in Costa Mesa, CA. The Litigation Paralegal will support the healthcare litigation practice through all phases of the litigation lifecycle.
What You Will Do
The responsibilities include communicating with the team, preparing pleadings and discovery documents, conducting fact investigation, and supporting trial efforts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of Litigation Paralegal experience, an ABA-approved paralegal certification, and experience supporting healthcare insurance-related litigation.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4-7 years of Litigation Paralegal experience working in a law firm
- An ABA-approved paralegal certification is required
- Experience supporting healthcare insurance-related litigation is desired
- Ability to self-manage projects and monitor discovery and filing deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of litigation and trial procedures
- Familiarity with federal, state, and appellate court rules and procedures nationwide
- Experience with voluminous document productions and e-discovery
- Working knowledge of Superior, Federal, and U.S. District Courts rules and procedures
- Experience with TrueFiling, Relativity TextMap, CaseMap, PageVault, or other document management system is preferred
- Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends, as needed
- Billing requirement of 1600 hours per year
- A bachelor's degree or some college is preferred
