Role OverviewThe CDL-B Concrete Mixer Driver position at Silvi Materials involves operating an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck in accordance with federal and state regulations, maintaining the highest standard of quality and safety, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of concrete. The driver will work a variable schedule, with start times between 12:00 am and 9:00 am, and will be required to call in to the plant at 4/5 pm daily. The driver will be responsible for maintaining delivery, truck, and driving records in accordance with company policies and federal and state regulations.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the CDL-B Concrete Mixer Driver include operating the truck, performing pre and post-trip inspections, loading and pouring concrete, reading delivery tickets, communicating with dispatch, and washing residual concrete and materials off the truck and barrel.

Requirements

- 1 year of preferred driving experience
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to climb on traditional and truck ladders
- Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
- Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
- Ability to make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists while driving
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out
- Ability to move two or more limbs together while remaining in place
- Ability to hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
- Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Ability to use muscles to jump, sprint, or throw objects
- Ability to use muscles for extended periods of time
- Ability to be physically active for long periods of time
- Ability to determine from which direction a sound came
- Ability to see differences between colors, shades, and brightness
