Job Description
Installs, rebuilds, repairs and services mechanical or electrical locking devices. Responsibilities include disassembling locks, repairing or replacing parts, cutting new or duplicate keys, and performing other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Disassembles locks such as padlocks, safe locks, and door locks
  • Repairs or replaces tumblers, springs, and other parts
  • Inserts new or repaired tumblers into locks to change combinations
  • Cuts new or duplicate keys
  • Moves lockpick in cylinder to open locks without keys
  • Opens safe locks by drilling
  • Keeps records of company locks and keys
