Job Description
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is seeking a Logistics Assistant Director to oversee the operations of Fleet, Facilities, and Materials. This strategic leadership role will ensure efficient and timely supply chain management for district operations, encompassing budgetary planning, performance evaluation, and process improvement. The position requires a proactive individual who can contribute to district success by removing barriers to efficiency and supporting the operations of various divisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Management, Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale operations, scheduling, budgets, performance metrics, and quality control in logistics.
  • Leadership experience with large teams, including hiring and performance management (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strategic planning and direction ability
  • Supervisory skills (directing department managers and teams).
