Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Loss Control Consultant to conduct commercial insurance loss control inspections and complete insurance underwriting reports. The consultant will drive to locations, take photos, and observe facilities to determine insurance exposures and identify potential improvements.

What You Will Do

The consultant will record onsite observations, take measurements and photos, identify building and roof construction type, and complete assignments/reports according to due dates.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with other Loss Control Service Providers or Major Insurance Carriers
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines - primarily Property, General Liability, and Inland Marine
  • Ability to identify building construction and ISO classes
  • Broad understanding of NFPA codes
  • Solid communication and time management skills
  • Exceptional writing ability, organizational skills, and computer skills
  • Ability to work from home with a PC, high-speed internet connection, and a cell/smart phone
  • An automobile and valid driver's license, with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to climb a ladder up to 6 feet
  • Digital camera or smart phone with picture capability
  • Measuring wheel, or similar tool, and camera pole
