Role Overview

The Ohio Lottery Commission is an exciting organization offering career opportunities across many different business functions. The role of a Lottery Ticket Sales Representative 1 is to develop relationships with lottery retailers within an assigned district, maintain an assigned sales route, and visit/service retailers at required intervals. The representative will also monitor and adjust instant ticket price points/product mix to meet market demand, discuss sales, new product promotions, displays of promotional material, and removal of stale or outdated product(s) with retailers. Additionally, the representative will continuously update retailers on gaming regulations, lottery policies, procedures, and processes.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing relationships with lottery retailers, maintaining an assigned sales route, monitoring and adjusting instant ticket price points/product mix, discussing sales, new product promotions, displays of promotional material, and removal of stale or outdated product(s) with retailers, continuously updating retailers on gaming regulations, lottery policies, procedures, and processes, and assisting retailers with Lottery bookkeeping issues, statewide and in-store Lottery promotions, and Scratch Off displays.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 6 courses or 18 months experience in marketing, 12 months training or 12 months experience in public relations, 2 courses or 6 months experience in bookkeeping, and a valid driver's license. The candidate will also be able to demonstrate strength to push, pull or otherwise move up to 35 lbs.
