Role OverviewMSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Low Voltage Fire & Security Engineer to support design, construction, startup, and service support for fire and security businesses. The candidate will be responsible for innovative designs and approaches to meet project requirements.
What You Will Do
Create fire alarm shop drawings, receive project specifications, prepare submittals, and support field installation and commissioning of security and/or fire detection and alarm systems.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, experience in fire alarm system design engineering, and knowledge of fire alarm and security systems, as well as building and NFPA code requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or associate degree in electrical engineering technology
- Ability to satisfy North & South Carolina Security licensing requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience in preparation of contract fire alarm shop drawings and specifications
- Field survey skills
- Performing calculations
- Thorough knowledge of State and Federal fire alarm and building code standards
